Admin
The admin department has noticed, especially in recent times that the Administrator roles have worked well as stepping stones for candidates looking to get into the industry for the first time. From these roles candidates transition into either Sales or Lettings consultants, since having the experience or obtaining their Driver’s Licence.
On the flip side, we have also noticed that a lot of the experienced negotiators who are no longer enjoying the fast paced nature of being a negotiator become administrators too!
We saw a rise in applications for Admin roles of 15% in 2021!
To be successful in this role a candidate will need to be organised, have great time management skills and an ability to work under pressure.
When recruiting for these roles, clients can look for candidates with experience within the position or with no experience. Experience would aid your chances of securing this role but it is very much dependant on the office and how busy the market is.
Sales and Lettings administrators are a key part of the day to day running of an office and provide a lot of support. Admin roles can consist of helping properties to market (uploading photos and property descriptions) let/sale progression, monitoring/carrying out various reference checks as well as in office support such as scanning, taking phone calls and diary management.
